Peppur created "Harlem's Night: A Cabaret Story" performed by Brown Betties and Joe one
night after listening to a song she wrote, entitled "Come to my house" now known as "Hey Joe".
The song is about a woman asking her "Joe" to come back to her house even though she's fully
aware this Joe is hanging with other women.

Harlem's Night is the tale of a woman looking for love in all the wrong places. It's definitely
autobiographical and luckily, its universal! Told through the character perspectives of LOVE,
HATE, WANT and NEED (all the emotions one goes through when obsessed with someone who
doesn't exactly want you), Harlem's Night is a project near to Peppur's heart as it helped her
work through her own relationship issues and it allowed her to merge her loves of writing,
acting, singing and dancing. She learned to produce with this show and it inadvertently
served as a transition for her new life in Los Angeles after five years of living in New York.

Harlem's Night is produced through her company, "Harlem's Night Productions" which was
created to also produce future related productions such as "Hey Joe" (which is a spin-off show
that is performed by all of the previous gentlemen who've played the character, JOE) and the
forthcoming feature film, "Harlem's Awakening" based on the characters in the cabaret.

Peppur also created Brown Betties Enterprises as the marketing and branding arm behind all
things Brown Betties including the Be Your Own Brown Bettie  (BYOB) Workshops; the Brown
Betties Guide to Looking for Love in All the Wrong Places; the Brown Betties Gazette and
future merchandising.

With a motto of, "If you build it, they will come", her current mission is to find investors and
like-minded individuals to bring the Brown Betties Lounge to life. The lounge would serve as a
permanent home and performance space for the Brown Betties. If interested, please
contact
her.
Tanya came to the production in 2007. Her visionary approach helped transform the show
from a yummy chocolate ice cream cone with sprinkles to a fabulous chocolate sundae with a
thousand cherries on top.

She has won two awards for Best Choreography and an NAACP Theatre Award for Best
Production.  She heads and owns SuperNova Production Group, a community-based
organization dedicated to creating visual, performing and literary artworks that educate,
influence and inspire on a global scale.

Her ability to listen to an idea and bring it to life in an efficient, beautiful way has been an
unmeasurable asset to Harlem's Night.

Among her many other talents (actor, producer, dancer), Tanya is also a spoken word
recording artist. She recently released her first album, Pieces of Tanya...A Spoken Word
project with songs and videos available for viewing and download at
www.SuperNovaProductionGroup.com.
Danielle Lewis and Keena Ferguson are two of the four original Brown Betties.

Both amazing career dancers, they created some of the original choreography and styling for the Cabaret. With backgrounds in modern
dance, ballet, and jazz Danielle and Keena brought an elegance to the show that elevated the production to a higher standard that is
respected in the dance community.

Their creative input and dedication has continued to make Brown Betties and Harlem's Night  what they are today.

Further, they are strong business women who also produce and develop theatrical and film projects.

As one of the original four Brown Betties, Crescent hung up her stilettos in 2006 to become a
supervising consultant for the production.

Her cognitive thinking, intuitive nature and direct communicating have helped steer the
production in the right direction.

Crescent was born and raised in northern Indiana, and has a B.A. in Afro-American Studies
and Government from Harvard University. She completed law school at the University of
Pennsylvania and recently passed the Bar in Los Angeles.  (She passed the Bar in New York as
well!)

She is also a producer, writer, actor and ass-kicker.  Her motto:  “Life is short, follow your
passion and have no regrets.”

Deonna Raheem, a Cleveland, Ohio native, has been singing before she could talk.  Inspired by
Maya Angelou’s poem, “Phenomenal Woman”, Deonna sought out to live up to those powerful
words.

Her ground-breaking  involvement with developing the original songs that appear in
Harlem's Night laid the foundation for the production. Deonna was instrumental in securing
musicians, producing tracks, writing lyrics and leading the band. She also provided vocal
training for the cast. Her talent provided the sultry glue that tied so much the show together.

A successful vocalist, songwriter, actress and model, Deonna came from an artistic family.
She became the only person in her family to actually follow a musical career.  She attended
the University of Akron double majoring in Sports Medicine for Athletic Training and
Performing Arts.  There she developed her vocal technique in operatic and music theory.
Deonna has appeared in numerous productions including Ain’t Misbehaving, The Wiz,
Chicago and Once On This Island.  She has also collaborated on many projects within the
music industry, working with Jive Recording artist, JOE, and J Records artist, Olivia.  She is
also the CEO of DVine Entertainment and the publishing company A DVine Lyric LLC.
